Entrepreneurship Initiatives: The JA Students Company Program

JA student companies are organized as corporations and are educational enterprises. Consequently, they are chartered by JA rather than by a particular country / state. The student-run companies may incorporate to sell a product or provide a service. Students may sell stock or acquire a ‘loan’ to raise the capital needed to start their businesses. Regardless of the business model, the premise of JA Company Program is to develop necessary entrepreneurial abilities in young students – a much needed requisite for creating more enterprises and job opportunities in India.
